The Courtenay Centre houses Newton Abbot’s first community fridge. The fridge is available for local people to either take food that isn’t going to be used, from shops and supermarkets or surplus items donated by local people. The aim is to help prevent food wastage whilst also giving people a helping hand. We rely on a team of dedicated volunteers
Exeter Community Fridge makes supply chain surplus food available to all for free. The aim is to reduce food waste, save households and businesses money and to strengthen community resilience. Exeter Library, upstairs, next to the Rougemont room.
Our local food shed is for everyone to use. Fresh food will be put in there regularly, so we have to use it. This is a great way to share local and surplus produce please use it or we’ll lose it!
