When shopping for electrical items, look for longer-lasting and harder-wearing products. You are likely to save money in the long run as you won’t have to replace them so often.
Why not ask friends and family for recommendations and even try before you buy, by asking if you can borrow items such as vacuums and small electricals? That way you can ensure you buy the right product for you.
When you’re buying a new appliance for your new home, look out for its energy label. The energy label tells you how much energy that appliance uses, comparing it to similar appliances. Find appliances that use the least amount of energy by looking for ones that are rated A or better.

Invest in longer lasting items like electrical razors and toothbrushes.
