How to Reuse

You can reuse things in many ways. Here are just a few:

  • When you buy new clothes, take the old items (if in good condition) to a charity shop so they can be resold for a good cause. If they are no longer in a wearable state, place them in a textile bank.

  • Instead of using a plastic carrier bag when shopping, use reusable canvas or cotton bags. Many stores now offer "bags for life", at a small charge or request a free one here.

  • When buying furniture, investigate secondhand shops, furniture reuse projects and ad papers - these are a great way of finding a bargain.

  • Give your old furniture to furniture reuse projects, charity shops, or advertise it on websites such as Free Cycle or Freegle the local free ad paper.
